How is the weather going to be in London during the Olympic Games?

It's really not possible to predict the weather accurately more than a week ahead, and in a changeable climate like that of Britain, even a few days is difficult.

However, as far as can be seen from current trends, the outlook for the rest of July isn't very promising. The jet stream is still causing low pressure to remain over much of the UK, bringing unusually low temperatures and often heavy rain. It is hoped that the worst of the rain will be over by mid-July and there may be some sunshine to come, but there is nothing in the immediate picture to suggest typical, bright summer weather is coming soon. However, late July and early August is normally the hottest part of the year in the UK, so we should at least expect it to be a bit warmer.
