Contrary to popular belief, religious diversity in the arab world is very strong and Palestine is not an exception. Not all arabs are Muslims and not all Muslims are arab.

In the case of Palestine (Gaza and the West Bank), the majority of the population (83%) is arab, of which 75% are Muslim, 17% jews and a small minority are Samaritan, Druze and Christian. It is important to take into consideration the religious and ethnic diversity of Palestine as it is the birthplace of three of the most important monotheistic religions in the world: Muslims, Jews and Christians.
