Guitarist Bob Welch (66) has been found dead today in his apartment in Tennessee. Welch was found by his wife with two shots in the chest and a note, so police suspects it is a suicide. Apparently, Welch committed suicide after spinal surgery, because he did not want to be a burden to his wife.

Welch joined British rock band Fleetwood Mac in 1970 until 1974, before Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined the band in 1975. In these four years, Welch played in the albums Future Games (1971), Bare trees (1972), Penguin (1973), Mystery to Me (1973), and Heores are Hard to Find (1974).
