How does induction work?

I'm not quite sure from your question whether you mean the induction of new teachers or the inductive method of teaching?

In the first case, the induction process is carried out in a number of countries. Basically it is a system where new teachers are helped and monitored, usually through their first year though this can vary. A new teacher can expect to have more lessons observed and evaluated than an experienced one, and to be mentored and advised by senior members of staff. Each school has its own induction scheme, so it would be a good idea to contact an individual school and ask.

Inductive teaching means giving the learners the information they need to work out a rule or principle themselves, as opposed to the deductive method, which involves explaining the rules first. It's especially useful in language learning, where students are often presented with examples of new language and asked to try and understand it themselves, rather than just being told 'this is a new grammatical form' or similar.

If you would like to ask another question, with more details, I can give you a more detailed answer.
