Piccadilly Circus is a square and road junction in the West End, Central London.
It links Piccadilly St. with regent St. and one of the main touristic and shopping spots in the city.
It was designed by the architect John Nash at the beginning of the XIX century.
The history of its name may come from a taylor, Robert Baker, that owned a shop in the area and was specialized in making 'Pickadils', a type of cut-work lace collar on fashion between the centuries XVI and XVII.
