George Galloway is a popular and outspoken figure of the British left who has shown a very strong commitment to the conflicts in the Arab world for the last thirty years.

In 2003, and due to its opposition to the Bush and Blair invasion of Iraq, he was expelled from the party for concerns with the party's image of internal conflict.

Particularly, the spark that set the fire was an interview with Abhu Dabi TV where Mr. Galloway accused Blair and Bush for wanting to invade Iraq "like wolves" and for instilling the Army to oppose an illegal war.

At present Galloway has won a very important victory in Bradford-West in an historical defeat for the Labour Party with 10,140 votes.
