Birth control is an issue of concern for both males and females however males get less of an option. Men have five methods of birth control:
Abstinence
Condoms
Outercourse
Vasectomy
Withdrawal
This brings me back to the question of what is the 'best' birth control for men, in terms of avoiding pregnancy there are 2 obvious ways with 0% risk in the methods listed above: Abstinence and Vasectomy.
However, if Abstinence or a Vasectomy isn't an option the most efficient way of preventing pregnancy would be combining birth control methods, e.g.: using a condom and withdrawing whilst your partner is on the birth control pill or using a female condom.
