Based on the level of respect or formality, you can say "I want to learn the Korean language" in Korean in 3 ways:

  • Informal: na-neun hanguk-eo-reul baeugo-sipeo (나는 한국어를 배우고싶어), na-neun hanguk-eo-reul baeugo-sipda (나는 한국어를 배우고싶다)
  • Formal: jeo-neun hanguk-eo-reul baeugo-sipeoyo (저는 한국어를 배우고싶어요), jeo-neun hanguk-eo-reul baeugo-sipseupnida (저는 한국어를 배우고싶습니다)
  • Very Formal: jeo-neun hanguk-eo-reul baeugo-sipseupnida (저는 한국어를 배우고싶습니다)

- I: na-neun (나는), jeo-neun (저는)
- to want to [learn]: [baeu]go-sipda ([배우]고싶다)
- to learn: baeuda (배우다)
- Korean language: hanguk-eo (한국어)
