Internet is full of useful resources that will help you learn Spanish on your own. However, learners will find some of the websites are confusing, difficult to follow and have little or no audio resources, something quite crucial, especially when you are learning without a tutor.

I am going to give you my advice as a Spanish tutor. One of the websites I use systematically is ver-taal www.ver-taal.com/ This website is very complete and offers students the chance to access real Spanish audios taken directly from Spanish TV news, documentaries and programmes. It also has a very complete section on grammar, with plenty of exercises with audio, and a a very complete vocabulary section.

Another useful website is Spanish Proficiency www.laits.utexas.edu/spe/. Apart from having a good grammar section, the strenght of this website is its wide range of audios where learners can listen to real spanish language in a wide variety of accents from Spain and South America. These audios are grouped according to useful topics such as negotiating a taxi ride, explaining ailments to a doctor or buy food, among many others.

Finally, another useful website to learn Spanish is Study Spanish www.studyspanish.com/tutorial.htm This website is heavily focused on on grammar and vocabulary exercises but it also has a proununciation section that is excellent for beginners. This webpage is tidy, clear and very easy to use.
