The Davis Cup is the largest International event of Men's Tennis, with 130 countries competing in 2011.

The Davis Cup Competition started in 1900 between United States and Great Britain as an idea conceived by four members of the Harvard University tennis team.
The country that has a history of more victories of the tournament is United States (32 tournaments), followed by Australia (28 tournaments).
The competition expanded in the year 1969 with 50 countries participating.
Spain has been proclaimed the champion in 2011 beating Argentina in the final and getting its 5th Davis Cup title since 2000.
