What steps are necessary to beat procrastination?

Nothing in the world would even help you get started in trying to "beat" procrastination if you aren't "motivated" enough in whatever it is that you set out to do.

First rule: You should have enough motivation to do whatever it is that you want to.

And then, you may follow these other ideas to beat procrastination:

  • Carrot at the end of the stick: For every task you accomplish in time, reward yourself. It doesn't have to be grand. keep it simple. Take a walk. Get on FB for a while. Play a game for 5 mins. Call someone you love. Get the idea?
  • Price yourself high: When you are working on projects and think of yourself as a $5 per hour provider, you'd not have enough fuel to kick yourself to work hard. Think of yourself as a $75 per hour ( or more) and then work. This way, you'd know what every hour lost would have meant to you.
  • Work first, laze later: If you could compress work in a short time ( without sacrificing quality), think of all the time that's available for you to use it the way you want. if you want lazy time, you've got to work for it.

Hope these help!
