Norwich is a very good place to go veggie and adopt a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle. Apart from being one of the few cities with a green city council, Norwich is the capital of Norfolk, known for its rural landacapes and its broads, its quiet life and its acres of open fields.

If you want to buy organic food I recommend the Rainbow Wholefoods, right next to the market www.rainbowwholefoods.co.uk/ or the Green Grocers in Earlham Road www.thegreengrocers.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&t next to the Co-op. In these shops you can find a wide variety of organic pasta, cookies, sauces, seasonings, tea and coffees. In addition, Green Grocers offers a selection of local meat and fish.

Though these shops are very useful to complement a veggie and healthy diet, my choice is the organic boxes at Riverford www.riverford.co.uk/, which offers a wide variety of vegetables, dairy products, fruit and veg boxes to satisfy all needs. I have been in the Riverford scheme for almost 3 years and I am very happy of ordering food weekly. The boxes are not pricy and the quality of produce is just great.
