How do I store a rug?

Try not to fold a rug. Instead, roll them up.

  • Roll with the pile facing outwards and roll in the direction of the pile. To find the direction of a rug's pile, you need to stroke the pile. The pile will feel smooth when stroked in the right direction just like a cat's fur.
  • Layer in sheets of acid free tissue paper as you roll
  • For large rugs, you need to roll them on to a large tube for support, which you can often find in a carpet shop.
