Is it a Good Idea to Buy "Fans" on Facebook for my business page?

No, it isn’t. Not directly anyway.

Buying it indirectly would mean that you spend time = money or have someone else do it for you ( which costs money again).

Social media depends on people “liking” pages and people, “commenting”, “sharing” – all on their own free will. That’s what makes the medium so powerful, modern, consumer empowering, and totally user centric.

It’s this very aspect of social media than brought huge brands down on their knees, bowing to the pressure of “expedited word-of-mouth”. It’s not about what advertisement claim anymore; it’s not about what the sales copy promises or the seemingly “too-good-to-be-true” statements those sales persons earnestly make.

Social media is what others think about your brand. Your happy customers praise it and your “unhappy” customers spread the bad word faster than you can care to admit.

If you have to get more “like” and increase your fans on your Fan page, you’d have to do it organically. Of course, you can use Facebook Ads to get someone’s attention but what’s on your “wall” will determine if it’s worth “liking” for the Facebook user you just managed to bring in.
