GDP (Gross Domestic Product) per capita can be considered as a way to see a country's standard of living. However GDP per capita does not represent the personal income per capita as the data of GDP contains investment, consumption,
government spending and etc. If we talk about GDP per capita, according to International Monetary Fund (2010-211), Luxembourg is the highest country with $113,533 per capita. It is followed by Qatar ($98,329 per capita), Norway ($97,255 per capita), Switzerland ($81,161 per capita) and United Arab Emirates ($67,008 per capita). Check the full list here.

Since 1 dollar can purchase different things in different countries, the GDP per capita at purchasing power parity shows Qatar the highest country, and Luxembourg the second, followed by Singapore, Norway and Brunei. Check the full list here.

If we simply compare the gross wage per capita, surprisingly, Unites States is listed on top of the table although the research is limited to OECD members. Luxembourg is the second and Switzerland is the third. Check the list here.
