How do you turn off the auto correction feature on an iPad?

Go to settings, then click on General, scroll down to the 'Keyboard' option. Click this to open the keyboard options.
The Auto-Correction feature can be turned off using the corresponding On/Off switch.
When the Auto-Correction is turned off Check Spelling is disabled automatically.
