Why do leaves turn colour in Autumn?

Trees take water from their roots and the gas called carbon dioxide from the air.
With sunlight, trees need to transform water and carbon dioxide into oxygen and glucose; this is called Photosynthesis.

Trees use the oxygen and the glucose as their food.
When summer ends and sunlight hours are less the reserves of oxygen and glucose start getting shorter and the green chlorophyll disappears, turning the color of the leaves into red, orange and yellow tonalities until they fall down in winter.
