Atletico de Madrid is the second most important football team in Madrid, Spain. Atletico de Madrid supporters have a nickname, "the colchoneros", which means "the mattress makers" because in the past, mattresses had a cover of red and white stripes, the colours of their t-shirt.

Atletico de Madrid has won 2 Europa Leagues, one in 2010 and the last one in May the 10th 2012. Apart from these titles, Atletico de Madrid has won several others international trophies: the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1962, the Intercontinental Cup in 1974, and the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2007.
