Adam Yauch was a rapper, activist and independent film producer born in New York. He was mostly known for his rapping in hip hop band Beastie Boys. This band sold over 40 million records and released 4 number 1 albums.

Sadly, Adam died of salivary gland cancer on May the 4th 2012, leaving behind an enormous legacy of talented musicianship, political activism and film and video production.
