Bacteria are one of the main pathogens and can cause infectious disease, e.g. cholera, food poisoning, typhoid, gonorrhoea, whooping cough, and etc.

The main problem with bacteria is that they release toxins or poisons once they get inside the body. In most cases, they can be killed by antibiotics.
