In China, if you ask people about Jackie Chan, most people may not know what you mean. This is because Jackie Chan is widely known as 成龙 (Chéng Lóng) in China.
However, neither 成龙 (Chéng Lóng) nor Jackie Chan is his real name. He was born in Hongkong in 1954 and his real name is 陳港生 (Chan Kong-sang).
He got the name Jackie when he worked in a restaurant in Australia. His co-workers could not pronounce his Chinese name, so they started to call him Jackie.
