British actor Christian Bale has just been nominated by the Academy for his performance in "The Fighter". This is the first time his talent is recognized as potentially deserving an Oscar although it still needs to be seen if he wins it or not.

Chistian Bale has received numerous awards for many of his performances, including best actor in Sitges International Film Festival in 2004, the Young Artist Award for Swing Kids, in 1994, and the MTV movie award for The Dark Knight, in 2008, only to name a few.
