The quick answer to the question is "NO". At least currently (January 2012), Murakami Haruki and his wife Takahashi Yoko have no kids. They got married in 1971. At the time Murakami was 22 year old and was a university student of Waseda University. It took Murakami seven years to graduate from the university.

When asked why not having kids in an interview, Murakami said he was too busy with his writing and travelling. He also said the readers are his kids.
