According to the Guinness World Record, Darwin’s bark spider (scientific name: Caerostris darwini) weaves the strongest silk. The web has a tensile strength of up to 520 megajoules per cubic metre (MJ/m3).

Darwin’s bark spider is the newly-discovered species of Madagascan spider. Its web is twice as tough as previously described web.
