Why the FC Barcelona supporters are called the "cules"?

FC Barcelona supporters are called "cules" for a very funny reason. Before the present stadium Camp Nou was built, FC Barcelona used to play in a small stadium in the neighbourhood of Les Corts, in Barcelona.
As there were not enough seats for everybody inside the stadium, many supporters used to sit down at the top of a wall from which they could see the game. The perspective from the street was that of a row of bottoms ("cul" in catalan language) sitting next to the other and so the term "cules" (the bottoms") began to be used to define FC Barcelona supporters.
