Tennis is translated as '网球' in Chinese. It is pronounced as 'wǎng qiú ' in mandarin.

网 (wǎng), the third tone, means net,
球 (qiú), the second tone, means ball.

Play tennis is 打网球 (dǎ wǎng qiú )
打(dǎ), the third tone, is a verb, meaning hit.

Wimbledon is written as 温布尔登 in Chinese. The pronunciation is Wēn bùěr dēng, which is similar as English.
