Died at the age of 69 on 6 February 1931, Motilal Nehru is a well known figure in India. As the founder patriarch of the Nehru-Gandhi family which is the most powerful political family in India, Motilal was an important leader of the Indian National Congress by serving as the Congress President twice.

Motilal Nehru married Swaroop Rani, and had three children with her: Jawaharlal (born in 1889), Sarup (born in 1900 ) and Krishna (born in 1907). You can find out more about Motilal Nehru here.
