Based on the level of respect or formality, you can say "Congratulations!" in Korean in 3 ways:


Level of formality Pronunciation Korean alphabet Voice
Informal chukha-hae! 축하해!
Formal chukha-haeyo! 축하해요!
chukha-hapnida! 축하합니다!
Very Formal chukha-deuripnida! 축하드립니다!

  • congratulation: chukha (축하)
  • to congratulate: chukha-hada (축하하다)
