Guernsey is an island in the English Channel off the coast of Normandy. The official name of Guernesey is Bailiwick of Guernsey. It is a British Crown dependancy with the area size of only 78 km2 and a population of less than 70K. The official languages are French and English.
Guernesey is neither part of the United Kingdom nor part of the European Union. But its Britain's responsibility to defend Guernesey. It only takes 45 minutes by flight from London to Guernsey.
