According to maximum recorded lifespans the longest-lived bird is the Albatross. They could have a life of up to 50 years.

However it is difficult to determine which bird can live longer. It is also said that birds live longer when in captivity, with the case of a cockatoo (Australian Parrot) living 80 years in a zoo.
