Based on the level of respect or formality, you can say "You cannot have it all" in Korean in 3 ways:

  • Informal: neo-neun geu-geot-eul modu gajil su eopseo (너는 그것을 모두 가질 수 없어)
  • Formal: dangsin-eun geu-geot-eul modu gajil su eopseoyo (당신은 그것을 모두 가질 수 없어요), dangsin-eun geu-geot-eul modu gajil su eopseupnida (당신은 그것을 모두 가질수 없습니다)
  • Very Formal: dansin-ggeseo-neun geu-geot-eul modu gajisil su eopseupnida (당신께서는 그것을 모두 가지실 수 없습니다)

- you (subjective): neo-neun (너는), dangsin-eun (당신은), dansin-ggeseo-neun (당신께서는), ne-ga (네가), ni-ga (니가)
- cannot [do]: [hal] su eopda ([할] 수 없다)
- have: gajida (가지다)
- it (objective): geu-geot-eul (그것을), geu-geol (그걸)
- all: modu (모두), jeonbu (전부)
