You need the ACCA Qualification to become a certified accountant in the UK. ACCA is the abbreviation of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, which is the global body for professional accountants since 1904.

To get the ACCA Qualification, you need to do the following:
To pass the exams and complete the required module, you can either do a degree in Accounting and Business or study part time Accounting courses from local colleges. You can even do all the studies on your own. The entry requirement for accountancy is good skills in math and English.

It takes 3 to 4 years to get the ACCA qualification if you do a full time course. It takes longer if you choose to study part time. However, you need to complete the all the requirements within 10 years. You can get the certified accountancy technician (CAT) qualification first, and then take part two professional exam if you wish to become a certified accountant. You can find more about CAT Qualification here. After getting CAT qualification, you are exempted from some of the exams required by ACCA Qualification.

You can find out more here- www.accaglobal.com/en/qualifications/glance/acca/overview.ht

To find relevant courses, you can search in Google with the key phrase like 'accountancy courses' and the area you are thinking to study.
