Traveling solo - Advantages

• You will decide what to do, what to see, what to eat, where to live, etc. You are in complete charge of your travel experience.
• You will be able to meet a lot of new people, make friends on your way, and find the best a place has to offer -- without anyone telling you, nudging you to try this and that when you really don't want to, etc.
• You don't have to compromise anywhere. Just do as you please.
• Traveling solo usually has a soothing effect on most people.
• Traveling alone helps you to learn a lot, be independent, become street smart, etc.

• It's slightly more expensive to travel alone than it is with a companion or with a group.
• If you are not the socializing type or if you don't like to open up to complete strangers, you'll really feel lonely.
