There are many ways to cook beef curries. This recipe is from an Indian friend of mine, and has been loved by many.

1. Fry finely chopped onion, garlic, ginger, green chili in a deep frying pan
2. When the above gets soft, add diced beef, and fry for about 5 minutes
3. Add small amount of cloves, cardimon, star anise, cinnomon sticks, bay leaves, curry leaves, and crushed black pepper into the pan, and stir
4. Add water into the pan to just cover the mixture
5. Boil for 30 minutes
6. Add beans, carrots and potatoes into the pan, and stir
7. Boil for another 30 minutes
8. When the beef gets soft, add coconut milk, and bring back to boil.
Eat with nan with your right hand is the authentic way :)
