The Flowers of War (2011) is directed by famous Chinese director Zhang Yimo who also directed Crouching Tiger & Hidden Dragon, Raise the Red Lantern and Hero.

The movie is based on Geling Yan's novel - 13 Flowers of Nanjing. The movie is about an American Priest helps a group of Chinese women during 1937 Nanjing Massacre.

The film stars Christian Bale (John Miller), Ni Ni (Yu Mo), Zhang Xinyi (Shu) and Tong Dawei (Major Li) .
