Marc Bolan was an influential British glam pop singer and leader of the powerfully influential pop band T-Rex. Marc Bolan died on September 16 1977 in South London when he was only 29 years old.

After a night out with Gloria Jones, an American singer with whom he had a son, they were on their way back home in a car driven by Gloria (Marc hated driving and never got his driving license), when the car left the road and hit a sycamore tree. Marc died instantly and Gloria broke her jaw.

Marc is dearly remembered by his family, friends and fans as a gentle and loving man whose glam rock lively music influenced a generation of musicians.
