Question

Is it possible to 'ungoogle myself'? How can I delete the details about me in the Google search?

You can't directly delete them, but you can considerably reduce your searchability. The first thing is to find out what comes up when you google yourself - use speech marks to get the maximum relevant information. Then see how much of that content can be removed - you can contact some sites directly, for example, and ask them to remove your name. You can also unsubscribe to any site that gives out your name or details.
If you have content that you don't want people to see, add new content (not using your name) and the older content will go further down the search list - very few people look beyond the first page or two.
When you post new content, use your full name as little as possible. If you have websites of your own, you could use the 'robots' html meta tag, which stops search engines from adding your page to their indexes.
