In the end Fernando Torres did not leave Chelsea this summer, though he talked about it, especially in May 2012, and there was a lot of speculation in the media. In fact he scored his first goal of the Champions' League for Chelsea on 7 November, helping Chelsea to beat Ukranian team Shakhtar.
After the early summer Torres made no actual attempts to leave Chelsea again, though he isn't very happy being there. However, recently it has been suggested that his performance is not that good - he has scored only 19 goals in all his time there since signing in January 2010 - and Ruud Gullit, the former Chelsea manager, has said that it may be time to let him go and replace him with Radamel Falcao.
On the other hand, Torres himself has lately said that he would like to stay with Chelsea. It may be a while before a decision is made.
