Fernando Torres broke his nose while playing in a match against Steaua Bucharest on 15 March 2013, when he accidentally got kicked in the face. He started wearing this protective mask soon after, to prevent further injury to his nose - a lot of people said it looked like a Zorro mask.
Now that it's almost two months since the injury, it's being asked how much longer Torres will feel he needs to keep wearing this mask. There was talk of him wearing it for the rest of the season. However, in the last couple of weeks he has said that he is just waiting for the results of a scan and will take it off as soon as the doctors advise him to do so. He says the mask isn't at all comfortable, makes it more difficult to play and he is very keen to get rid of it; so probably it will be gone very soon.
