The last house Charles Dickens lived in was Gads Hill Place (sometimes spelt Gadshill or Gad's Hill) in the village of Higham near Rochester, Kent. The house is now the site of an independent school, and the full address can be found here.
Until recently the house was only accessible to staff and pupils at the school. However, in 2012 the house was made open to the public on selected days - you can get more information here.

Charles Dickens lived at Gads Hill until his death in 1870. The house had a special importance for him, because when he was a child he had seen this house and imagined living there one day (his family had serious financial problems, so at the time this seemed very unlikely).

Another house lived in by Dickens in now the Dickens Museum in London. This is now closed for repairs but will be open again in 2013.
