There was no Glastonbury festival this year. The main organiser, Michael Easton, does take a year off now and then and let the land recover, and this year seemed an especially good one to cancel the festival because so many people would be going to the London Olympics instead. He has said that he is now very glad he made that decision, as this year was the wettest summer on record.

The next festival will be in June 2013, and the good news is that you can buy a ticket from 7 October 2012 - so, about a month from now. The bad news is that the price has risen - adult entry will be £205, though children under 12 will still go free. You still have to register everyone who is going with you, in order to buy your ticket.

It hasn't yet been announced who will be headlining at next year's festival.
