Where was the earliest example of tattoo found?

An archeological expedition in 1991 on the Austria / Italy border discovered a 5,200 year old 'Ice man' (named Ötzi) showing the earliest known tattoos. He predated the previous early examples, found in Egypt, by a millennium.
