Angelina Jolie has been married twice so far. Her first husband was Jonny Lee Miller, a British stage and film actor. They married in 1996 when Jolie was just 21, and the marriage lasted only 3 years. The couple have remained friends and have always said that the only real problem was that they were too young when they married.

In 2000 she married American actor, director, writer and musician Billy Bob Thornton. This marriage also lasted only 3 years, though in fact the couple separated after only a few months, having already arranged to adopt a child.

There has been a lot of speculation in the press lately about a third marriage for Angelina Jolie - this time to Brad Pitt, with whom she has now been publicly in a relationship since 2006. They have three adopted children (inlcuding the boy who she started to adopt while married to Thornton) and three biological children.
