As of 2012 Aberdeen has 47 destinations if you count different airports within the same city (for example, it has flights to London Gatwick, City and Luton). Most of these are foreign destinations although there are also several flights within the UK including Southampton, Exeter and Stornaway - as well as three London airports. Other destinations close to home include Dublin and Jersey.

The bullk of Aberdeen's foreign flights are to European destinations. Being so close to Scandinavia, not surprisingly it has a number of links to Nordic cities including Copenhagen, Stavanger and Bergen, but also several flights to popular Mediterranean holiday resorts like La Palma and Ibiza.

Aberdeen is the major airport of north Scotland, and there are plans to expand the airport by up to half a million passengers in the next few years, which will also mean adding new destinations. They hope to create an 'airport city' with extensive business, shopping and leisure opportunities nearby.
