The movie that won the Best Picture Award was No peace for the Wicked (you can find all the original Spanish titles here, but I'll give them in English) by Enrique Urbizo. This film was the overall winner this year, as it won six of the total prizes available, including Best Actor, Best Original Screenplay and Best Editing.

The film is a thriller involving a criminal, drunken police officer called Santos Trinidad. After an argument in a bar he kills three people there, and then sets off to try and find the one witness to the murders. While the police are investigating the three murders, they find links to terrorist activity, and a straightforward murder hunt becomes much more complicated.

The film has already attracted attention from Hollywood, and it is said that Sylvester Stallone is interested in playing the role of Santos Trinidad if there is a remake.
