His name is Gary Connery (great James Bond coincidence there) and he is 42 years old. He has had a long career and is especially good at jumping and skydiving, in fact he has made over 1000 skydives so far.

Gary has appeared in the Indiana Jones films and other action movies, but he said that playing the Queen at the Olympics was especially exciting. As well as doing the stunt, of course, he had to do it while wearing a dress and tiara and carrying a handbag, which isn't what he's been used to!
In fact, earlier this Olympic year Gary Connery broke a world record on his own account - he was the first person to jump 2400 feet without a parachute. He has also jumped from famous buildings like the Tower of London and the Eiffel Tower.

When not performing daring feats or imitating the Queen, Gary lives in Henley on Thames, where he runs a cafe.
