How can I get to the Thames Cable Car in London?

You can get there using the London Underground. If you click here and scroll down, you will see the underground routes on the map. You reach the north end from Royal Victoria Station near Canning town, and the south end from North Greenwich (Jubilee Line). In both cases it's just a short walk from the tube station.

The cable car is sponsored by the Emirates Airline and for 10 years the cable car has to be named after the airline and their logo will appear on London Transport maps. It is also partly funded by some money from the EU (about £8 million). It is hoped that the new car will eventually generate enough money to pay for itself and even become an attraction in its own right, though many people worry that it will only really get used during the Olympics and become a drain on the public purse.

A single ticket will cost £4.30 cash, less if you have an Oyster card.
