Liam Neeson is a much loved actor and has been awarded eight distinctions in his acting career and nominated for awards on many more occasions.

2) 1996 Evening Standard British Film Award for Best Actor
3) He was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Queen Elizabeth II in her 1999 New Year Honours
4) 2004 Irish Film Awards – Best Actor, Film - Kinsey
5) 2004 Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award for Best Actor
6) 2005 Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor - Batman Begins
7) 2008 The American Ireland Fund - Performing Arts Award for the great distinction he has brought to Ireland
8) In 2009 He was awarded an honorary doctorate by Queen's University, Belfast.
