Is Easter a good time for a holiday?

As usual, this Easter the newspapers and TV were full of stories about traffic jams, overcrowding etc as everyone tried to get away. The main problem with having a break at Easter is that it's too popular. It's the only time of year when most people can be sure of getting four days off - even at Christmas it's usually just two, though quite a lot of people manage to arrange a longer time - and when the weather, while not necessarily very good, is unlikely to be terribly cold (though it does often seem to be rainy).
So it would be a good time if everyone else wasn't doing the same thing! Also, in many countries Easter dates are variable and it can take place any time from early March to late April. That of course means that the weather will vary greatly for your Easter break from year to year.
