Show jumper Dalma Rushdi Malhas is the first female athlete from Saudi Arabia to compete on the Olympic stage. Born in Ohio, Dalma started riding horses when she was only four years old. She was trained in Italy and France, and she can speak four languages including Italian, French, Arabic and English.

In 2010, Dalma rode at the inaugural Youth Olympic Games in 2010 when she was 18. She was supposed to represent Saudi Arabia in London 2012, which is the first time Saudi government allows female athletes to compete in Olympic games. However, unfortunately Dalma can't participate the summer game because her horse had a injury.
